About me

Hi! My name is Bryn and I am a 2 year old male lurcher.

I came to the Cornwall centre as a stray so my background is unknown, but I quickly came out of my shell and proved to be a lovely bubbly, bouncy boy!  There is a possibility that I may have been worked in the past as my prey drive is very high, therefore the staff are training me to wear a muzzle on my walks and this will need to be kept up in my new home. My human friends here say I am perfect to walk on a lead, but I do get very excited seeing other dogs. I could live with another dog but they would have to be of a similar size, be patient with me and not mind that I'm a bit full on sometimes! I'm "all paws", as my handlers say, when it comes to saying hello!  Unfortunately little dogs can spark my prey drive.

My new owners will need to be active to keep up with my exercise needs, and they will also need to be willing to continue the training I've started here at NAWT. Due to the high prey drive of my breed, I won't be able to live with cats - the temptation of the chase would be too much for me to handle! I could live with a family but children would need to be school aged and dog savvy, as I'm very bouncy and will probably knock little ones down.

Please get in touch if you think you'd be a good match for me!
