Meet Beau!

Hey friends!! My name is Beau and I’m a dashing little guy on the lookout for my fab forever home. Talking of dashing, I’m meant to be a Dachshund cross! I’m a little stockier and chunkier than your average Dachshund but I got the long body and the long snoot to match!

So, let me tell you all about me. Well, I am one super fun adventure buddy! Boy do I love adventures! I am always eager to hop in the car and head off to explore a new place. I am the perfect boy at travelling and, although I can be eager on the lead to start with because I’m just so very excited, with the freedom of a nice long lead I soon relax into my walks and love taking my time exploring all the sniffs. Thankfully, I have the perfect shaped nose to get into all the good smells! I’m not a ‘walkies round the block’ kinda guy-I much prefer to explore all those fun places like the woodlands and the country parks. So if you’re idea of a good day out is donning a pair of boots and finding a new route to explore, then I’m your guy!!


Outside of my adventures, I love playtime and will happily entertain myself chasing and pouncing on my favourite toys. I’m also quite the food enthusiast with a super smart brain so I’ll be able to learn lots of cool tricks and skills. And, of course, I love cuddles and affection. Once we’re friends, we’ll be firm friends and I always greet my pals with a big happy waggy tail and a Beau hug!

I’m sure right now you’re probably thinking I sound pretty perfect! My friends here certainly think I’m a superstar...but, life hasn’t always been easy and it has left me with a few little insecurities. I’ve had lots of upheaval in my life so far and I’ve not had the chance to have these little paws in one place very long. Sometimes I’m not always as brave and confident as I may seem and there are things that worry me-sometimes new people and situations. But with reassurance from those I trust I come on leaps and bounds and everyone here thinks I have bundles of potential! My humans here will be happy to tell you all about my little quirks but I’m looking for an experienced and dedicated owner who can understand what I need and my worries and help me through them.

Whilst I’m happy enough to make dog pals out and about, I’m not looking to share my home with any furry friends. I’m also not looking to share my space with any children. With all the upheaval I’ve been through, I may take a little time to settle into a new routine and build on my home alone time. With a best human friend to help guide these paws, I just know I’m going to be a little superstar with a whole lot of love to give!
