Meet Bear!

Hello there, my name is Bear and I am a 2-year-old boy that is looking for a new home! I came into the centre as a stray, so the team aren't 100% sure what breed I am, but they think I am a Eurasier!

I am lovely boy that enjoys being around people, but I can be quite independent as well and like to wander off to do my own thing. I’m a, friendly boy but I do need my new owner to continue reward based training with me. I really benefit from enrichment activities, I can get bored easily so it is important that my owner knows lots of fun ways to keep my brain engaged throughout the day.

I can live with older children or teenagers as I am quite a big boy! They will need to be involved with my training to ensure that everyone in the home is consistent with me so that I learn the right things. I am unable to live with another dog as I can be a bit protective of resources, which could cause some tension in a home and I cannot live with a cat because I will be too tempted to chase them.

I am not used to being left alone and can be destructive if I am left with no enrichment so I will need someone who is home a lot to spend time with me and then slowly get me used to being on my own using kind and gradual methods.
