Meet Sammy!

Hey friends! My name is Sammy and I know what you're thinking...what a beautiful girl!! Yep, I'm a very pretty lady and a rather unique girlie...there may be some Shepherd in there but the rest is a mystery! It's guessed that I'm around the 1-2 year old mark as I'm certainly a high energy youngster with lots of playful puppy tendencies; this fun-loving lady is seeking a like minded home!

I was found as a stray so I'm a bit of a blank canvas..no one really knows what my life looked like before or what experiences I've been through. But I'm putting my past behind me and focusing on my bright future ahead. I've been spending time showing the team here how what a superstar I am and, whilst they've all fallen in love with me, I really am looking for that permanent love of my life.

Although my past is a mystery, it's clear I am a worried and sensitive girl so it's likely I haven't always had the best of times and life hasn't always been kind to me. I am worried about making new friends, especially men as I find them really quite scary. But I've proven here that I can and do make friends...in fact, I form very very strong bonds with the people I know and trust. Once we are pals, we truly are best buddies and I always greet my friends with a waggy tail, happy face and usually a Sammy hug. For those in my circle of trust, they get to see the real me...that silly, playful, goofy girl behind her worried exterior! I adore having cuddles- I'm a really affectionate girl and who said I'm not lap dog size! I love when my friends here come and sit down with me as I can cuddle up beside them and enjoy fusses and belly rubs. I really need a patient, kind and experienced human who can see when I'm feeling worried and help me feel braver in time.

I've got the brains and the beauty as I really am a rather clever girl! I already know a few tricks here and there and being a food enthusiast is helping with my learning. I am a little bit like an overgrown pup so will need someone who is keen on giving me things to learn and do. I love working out how to get tasty treats out of my puzzle games and enjoy mental stimulation to keep my busy brain active. I love bouncing around the fields here as I have lots of energy to burn off! Probably aside from cuddles, my favourite thing in the world is my toys. In fact, whenever I see my favourite humans, I must go and show them my toy of the day! This usually is something big and cuddly...a bit like me! I love my teddies and proudly parade them around and I'm a fan of most other games too. I can't wait to have a toy box of my very own!

I love my countryside walkies as I love getting in to all the good sniffs. I am worried around traffic so perhaps haven't experienced much out and about but I'll prefer my rural walkies and your proper muddy dog walks anyway so hope that you're up for them too! I've met some dogs here but my experience around them is still limited and every day is a learning opportunity. I could maybe live with another dog depending on how we got along here- I think they would need to be quite well-matched to me and match me in energy! But it could be good to live with a nice confident dog I could learn from. I'm likely going to be best placed without any of our feline friends. Due to my worried side, I'm going to be best suited to homes without children. If I sound like I could be your best friend, then I really can't wait to hear from you!
