Meet Trixie!

Hi there! My name is Trixie, and I am a 4 1/2 year old female Greyhound that is looking for a wonderful retirement home to call my own.

I am a sweet and friendly girl that really likes to be around people. My favourite thing is toys! I love to play, and you will often see me playing in my kennel. I am currently living with another Greyhound called Cindy, as she was very shut down and worried when we came in. She has been learning how to trust people by watching me and is slowly coming out of her shell - we are great friends!

I can live with children that are steady on their feet, as I can be quite jumpy when I am excited and playing, and I wouldn't want to accidentally knock someone over! I could also live with a dog that is of a similar size to me, as long as we got on here at the centre and during a home visit. I can't live with cats as I want to chase them!

I am not used to being left on my own, so I will need there to be someone around all of the time when I first come home, so that they can teach me how to cope with being alone. I will also need help with toilet training - I am trying, but I am used to toileting in a kennel!
