Meet Dexter!

Hi friends!! It’s Dexter the Dachshund here and, at just 11 weeks old, I’m ready and raring to bound straight into your life!

As a pup, I am inquisitive, curious and cheeky. I am an opportunistic thief and can find the fun in anything including leaves, feathers and socks. Yes toys are fun too and I am learning what’s the more appropriate things to get my teeth into. Talking of teeth...I am a teething baby and do explore with my mouth. I can be a little bit of a puppy shark so it’s important that my new humans carry on my training that toys and chews are for my teeth...and not your trouser legs!

I am a very affectionate little boy and when I’m all tired out from puppy antics, I will fall asleep in your arms. I sleep the whole night through if I can be near you at bedtime and my toilet training is coming on well too...providing I’m not too distracted that is!

I may be totally 110% adorable and just a little guy but I’ll be looking for an active family who have plenty of time to give to raising these growing paws. I’ve been living in a foster home with some other doggies and I am finding that great fun and they help with my training too...so I’d love to find a home with another dog or two for company and playtime. I’m also living with a cat who I’m desperate to make friends with! I can live with children but I’d be best suited to homes with school aged children so they can help with my training. I’ve not been left home alone very long as I’m just a baby so this would need to be built up gradually.
