Meet Ernie!

Hello potential new forever human! My name is Ernie and, as you can probably tell, I am a handsome Greyhound on the lookout for my loving forever home. I'm 6 years old and having finished my racing career, I've got my paws crossed to find a home to settle down in and some people to love.

I am a sweet boy and am seemingly quite a laid back individual. I've been friendly with everyone I've met here so I'm looking forward to making more friends. I do have a little bit of a sensitive side but I think in time if I can build a special bond with someone then I will blossom and more and more of my character will come out...after all, us Greyhounds really are amazing!

I've started enjoying some of my toys, especially the squeaky kind. I also enjoy getting out on my walks- I'm mostly a very good boy out on a walk and walk well on the lead.

I won't be looking to share my home with any cats or small furries. I could live with teenage children and I could possibly share my home with another dog, maybe one like me, depending on how we got along here at the Centre. Whilst life in a home may come with some firsts for me, I'm sure I'll adapt quite well and I picture my life snoozing around in front of someones TV after a nice little stroll somewhere! If that sounds like your idea of a good time too, then maybe I'm your guy!
