Meet Lydia (& Bennet)!

Esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen, permit us to introduce ourselves: I am Miss Lydia, and this is my dear brother, Master Bennet. Alongside our most dignified mother, Mrs Darcy, and our gallant brother Bingley, we were most unexpectedly discovered residing in the rustic quarters of a garden shed—an abode most unbecoming of our refined sensibilities.

Fortune has since smiled upon us, for we were graciously rescued and brought to a place of warmth, nourishment, and affection—the NAWT, a veritable Pemberley for orphans such as ourselves.

Now eight weeks of age, we find ourselves at the very threshold of independence, beginning to wean from our beloved mother and seeking a forever home of comfort, adventure, and society. We are, by all accounts, the very model of classic kittens: lively yet loving, daring yet decorous. Whether engaged in spirited pursuits of batting at our toys, or reclining most elegantly in a kitten puddle of slumber, we display all the charms and graces befitting young cats of good standing.

We should not object to the company of gentle children—so long as they know the proper etiquette of play—and we may be amenable to sharing our future estate with another cat, or even a calm and civilised dog of agreeable temperament.
