Meet Koda!
Hi there, look into my eyes, look into my eyes....my gorgeous blue eyes!!!
My name is Koda and I am a lovely Husky who deserves to find a forever home as I have had a bit of a rough time. I came into the centre as a stray, very dirty and underweight and wondering what on earth was going on.
I have gotten to know my friends here now, and they say that they are starting to see the real soft side of Koda and I will happily give you my paw or jump up for a fuss once we have that connection. I have started to play more and have come to realise that I love a good squeaky toy when I'm in the mood.
I am a typical Husky though, a real man of his own, so can be very independent with selective hearing and a bit aloof at times.
I am worried by males here around my kennel but once outside they don't bother me at all and I am very happy to go on my merry way - but it may be that I am going to prefer a lady owner and you may find that I'm worried about male visitors coming into the home so a routine for me if you have visitors would be a good idea and I am starting my muzzle training for situations like vet appointments etc.
I love my walks, am great around traffic and not phased by much at all, so will want an active owner to take me on lots of adventures, where I can sniff and mooch about to my hearts content and have a real run when I fancy it, although I'm going to be honest, my recall isnt good at all so I will need to be kept on a long line when out and about. Because of this I would really love to have a nice size garden to call my own where I can happily chill and have the space to do my thing.
I walk well on the lead, just a but pully when I see other dogs, but the team do think I may suit living with another dog, a lovely female perhaps.
My coat isnt in the best condition at the moment and although the team here have bathed me and made a start on my grooming I am going to need some TLC and constant coat maintenance.
I understand it might sound like I'm asking a lot, but I am a lovely boy that just needs to find his special place x
