Meet Maple!

Hello! I’m Maple, a 6-month-old chihuahua with a heart as big as my ears (and trust me, they’re pretty big!). I might be small, but I’ve got so much love to give—and I’m hoping I can find someone special to give it to.

Not too long ago, I was found as a stray—scared, shy, and unsure of the world around me. But since coming to NAWT, and now staying with a lovely foster human, I’ve started to find my paws and grow into the sweet, cuddly pup I was always meant to be.

Snuggles? Yes, please! I’m a professional cuddle bug. Whether it’s curling up in bed under the covers and nestling into your legs, or cuddling into your arms on the couch, I’m happiest when I’m close to my person. I bond deeply and love fiercely once I know I’m safe and loved in return.

Life is still a little big and scary sometimes, so I need a kind and patient human who can help me take things at my own pace. Someone who understands that I’m still learning what it means to feel secure and confident in the world.
