A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join National Animal Welfare Trust’s retail team as a Retail Coordinator, at an exciting time of growth and development. 

You will be working for a charity that never stops caring for its animals and people, striving to give every animal the best chance of finding a new home.  Operating five rehoming centres and three shops across the south of England, we are committed to improving the lives of the UK’s pets, helping around 1,500 animals each year.

Position: Retail Coordinator

Location: Head Office based, Watford WD25 8WT (with some flexibility to work from home)

Salary Range: £9,880 - £11,700 per annum (£9.50 - £11.25 per hour) - dependent on experience

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week (working pattern can be flexible) 

About the role:

In this new role, you will be involved in all areas of retail from shop operations, to buying and merchandising, to online marketplaces and ecommerce as well as contributing to the development of an ambitious new retail and commercial strategy.

This is an exciting role, ideal for someone passionate about developing a career in retail - including graduates and returners.

Reporting to the Retail Development Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Retail Development Manager with the management and development of NAWTs retail and commercial activities;
  • Maximising income and profitability and working collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders;
  • Managing the day-to-day processing of NAWT New Goods and Online Gift Shop orders;
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of NAWTs eBay shop.

About you:

Ideally you will have experience of charity retailing, having worked in a shop or other Head Office support role. Experience of selling on eBay and other marketplaces would also be beneficial.

You will have a positive and proactive approach to work, with excellent customer service skills, having the customer and the charity at the heart of everything you do. Above all we’re looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm and ideas, combined with a practical, can do attitude.
