Meet Otis!

Hello, I’m Otis! I’m a gorgeous collie puppy, around four months old, with a big enthusiasm for life and absolutely no understanding of personal space. If you’re looking for a little best friend to make you smile, keep you busy and occasionally rearrange your houseplants, I might just be your boy!

I’m having a lovely time in my foster home, where I’m learning all about being part of a family. There’s so much to discover when you’re little! I love meeting people and get very excited when someone stops to say hello. Making friends is one of my favourite hobbies, and I’ve been doing really well meeting other dogs and children out on my adventures.

I’m a clever little chap, too. I already knew how to give a paw, very useful for charming the humans and I’m making good progress with my walking and learning commands like “sit”. “Stay” is my latest challenge, although staying still can be tricky when there’s a whole world waiting to be explored!

My toilet training is coming along nicely, but I do still have the occasional accident, so I’ll need patience and plenty of opportunities to get it right. I’m also doing well with crate training and practising being left for short periods. My new family will need to keep building on this gently as I settle in.

Like lots of puppies, I’m still learning that greeting people doesn’t require launching myself at them, and that fingers and arms aren’t chew toys! Please have some proper puppy toys ready and help me learn with kind, consistent guidance. I have lots of potential, but I’ll need people with the time and enthusiasm to help me grow into a happy, well-mannered dog.

I’ve also been sharing my foster home with a cat. I think we should be playmates; she has rather different ideas! Any potential furry housemates would need very careful introductions and a little help managing my puppy enthusiasm.

I’m looking for a loving family who will enjoy my playful personality, keep my clever collie brain busy and be there for all the learning, adventures and affection ahead.

I’m only little, and my story is just beginning, could I grow up with you?
