Meet Atlas!

Hello, my name is Atlas and I am beautiful big lad who's on the look out for a new home due to my pawrents sadly separating.

I am a gorgeous looking GSD with a temperament to match. I am great with everybody but particularly enjoy being a "mans best friend" and form very close bonds with male family members easily. I have also been living with a 12 year old child and spent time around much younger children and absolutely adore them all.

I am a typical GSD and incredibly loyal and can be protective of my people and home so I will bark if someone comes to the door and I will be on alert if a stranger is approaching until my owner says all is ok. I like to be with my people, so I will never be too far away, and I don't like being left alone for too long - I can manage with a couple of hours, but any longer and I will bark, so I wouldn't want to upset your neighbours!

I have fantastic recall and have enjoyed being off lead a lot of the time. I can be quite strong on the lead, so will need an owner who can manage that as I am a sizable dog (talking about size.....I do have a few pounds to loose at the moment!). I don't take much notice of any other dogs when I'm out really, unless they try and take my ball or toy....I wouldn't like that at all and wouldn't be afraid to tell them off as I can get a bit possessive!

I love to travel around in a car or van but also enjoy my home comforts - I have been used to having my own arm chair to relax in!

I am currently on the HOME DIRECT SCHEME so will remain in my current home until a suitable match is found - all meets will be done here at the centre.
