Meet Meatball!

Hello... I’m Meatball, and I’m proof that no matter where you’ve come from, there’s always room for a fresh start.

I’m a Staffie cross with bundles of energy and I’m always ready for my next adventure. I love being around people, soaking up all the fuss and attention I can get, and making everyone smile with my silly personality. Whether we’re out exploring or just spending time together, I’m happiest when I’m with my favourite humans.

The people here say I’m a real sweetie pie, but I’m still a young lad who’s learning how to channel all my excitement. I’ll need a family who can continue my training, help me with my manners, and show me how rewarding it is to make good choices. I’m a clever boy who’s eager to please, so with a little patience, consistency and plenty of tasty treats, I’m sure I’ll make a wonderful companion.

I haven’t had the easiest start in life. When I arrived here, I was in an incredibly poor state. I had severe mange which left me with hardly any fur at all, and my skin was covered in painful scabs and sores. I was also much too skinny, and it was clear I’d been through a lot before finding my way to safety.

The good news is that every day I’m feeling a little bit better. Thanks to my medicated baths, lots of love and the care I’ve been receiving, my skin is healing, my fur is slowly beginning to grow back, and I’m starting to look and feel much more like the happy dog I was always meant to be. I still have a little way to go on my recovery journey, but I’m making fantastic progress.

What I’ve never lost is my love for people. Despite everything I’ve been through, I greet everyone with a wagging tail and a hopeful smile, ready to make new friends and enjoy all the affection I can get.

All I’m searching for now is a family who’ll see beyond my past and help me write the happy ending I deserve.
