Meet Rolo!

Nice to meet you - I'm Rolo.

Due to a change in circumstances my family can no longer keep me so they have asked the friendly team here at the Centre for some help. I am on the Home Direct Scheme which means I get to stay in the comfort of my current home until a suitable match is found. All meets will be done here at the Centre.

I am a very handsome boy, who's full of life and energy, as a matter of fact I don't really sit still for too long! I am a confident chap who likes to say hello to everyone and everything but who is also great to handle and who loves a fuss.

Being a Miniature Dachshund I can be quite noisy - I will bark at most new people and things, but I promise that I quieten down within minutes (it's standard behaviour for us Dachshunds I have you know!!!). Although I will bark at other dogs that I see out on walks I can easily walk on by without any issues, and I am not really worried or scared by anything that I see. I am keen to get going and walk at quite a pace - my legs may be little, but they can go super fast!!! So my new owner will need to be able to manage me on my lead (as my recall isn't very good) and be interested in getting out on lots of adventures.

I am living with children and am great around them, and may be suitable to live with another dog but I will look to bark and chase cats so I wouldn't be able to live with any of them I'm afraid.

I really am a super little dog so hope there is a new family out there waiting for me x
