Meet Hershey!

Hey, I'm Hershey, and I am on the look out for a new home.

Due to a change in circumstances my family can no longer keep me so have asked the friendly team here at the Centre for some help. I am on the Home Direct Scheme which means I get to stay in the comfort of my current home until a suitable match is found. All meets will be done here at the Centre.

I am a real sweetheart, a little shy maybe to start with, but once I feel comfortable I am a real fuss pot, and am ideally looking for a home where I can be a true lap dog, spending hours getting all the fuss and attention.

Being a Miniature Dachshund I can be quite noisy - I will bark at most new people and things, but I promise that I quieten down within minutes (it's standard behaviour for us Dachshunds I have you know!!!). Although I will bark at other dogs that I see out on walks I can easily walk on by without any issues, and I am not really worried by anything that I see. I do pull forward on my lead a bit and am active and enjoy a good play so I will need an owner who can keep up with me but then have lots of cuddles! I am used to being walked on the lead as my recall isn't the greatest unfortunately.

I am living with children and am great around them, and although I have been living with my brother I do think I am best suited to being the only dog in the home. I will look to bark and chase cats so I wouldn't be able to live with any of them I'm afraid.

I am such a beautiful little girl so I hope it won't take long to find me a new home xx
