Meet Trixie!
Hi everyone I'm Trixie and I am a very special girl. I came into the centre as a stray and had a little surprise in store for the team as I was expecting!!......My pups have all flown the nest, so it's me that's looking for a new home now! I can't wait for all the fuss and attention to be on me and have a home to call my very own!
I am a real fuss pot and will thrive on attention and love from "my people", however I can be a little worried by new people initially, especially men, so will need someone kind and considerate who will take the time to get to know me, and then you will see just how lovely I am. I am great to handle, have been excellent with all of my vet check ups, and am really easy to manage. I walk well on my lead and am great around other dogs, I may just bark a little if I haven't seen that dog before or if they are noisy towards me, but I definitely think I could live with another doggy pal.
I love my food, so watch out as I might try to steal anything that takes my fancy. I'll be honest, my recall skills aren't the greatest but because I am so food driven, training will be a lot easier and very tasty!
I am very good in my kennel - I don't make any mess and I settle well in my comfy bed so I think I will be just fine in a home.
With me being a Pug, my new owners will need to understand the importance of keeping me cool (especially in this recent heatwave that we have had) and not exercising me when it's too hot or allowing me to over do it and hinder my breathing.
The staff here are so proud of me and tell me what a good girl I am every single day, and I know they will be sad to see me go, but they say I deserve to have a home of my own now, and I couldn't agree more x I have all 4 paws crossed x
