Meet Bennett!

Hello... I’m Bennett.

For the first part of my life, I was a racing greyhound. I was very good at my job, I’m told. But now my racing days are behind me, and I’m finally ready for something much more important - a home of my own.

I’m around four years old, and everyone here says I’m an absolute sweetheart. Personally, I just really love people. If you’ve got hands for fussing and a comfy sofa, we’re probably going to get along brilliantly.
I LOVE cuddles. In fact, despite being a greyhound, I’m convinced I’m actually tiny. I’ll do my very best to curl up as small as possible beside you (or possibly on you) because being close to my humans is my favourite thing in the world.

Now, I won’t lie to you, I can get excited on the lead when I spot something interesting, and I do have a high prey drive, so I’ll need sensible handling and continued guidance out on walks. But once I’ve had my little bursts of zoomies and fun, I’m actually a pretty chilled-out boy.

I love flinging my toys around like they’ve personally offended me, doing speedy laps, and then immediately returning to professional cuddle duties.

And here’s a little greyhound secret: we’re actually experts at relaxing. People think we need endless exercise and huge houses, but really? A comfy bed, some love, a few good walks, and a chance to zoom now and then suit us just fine. We’re more “40mph couch potato” than marathon runner.

What I want most is someone to love me for who I am now, not for racing, but as Bennett. Just a gentle, affectionate boy looking for his forever people.
