Meet Joey!

Hi... I’m Joey, I might be a little quiet when you first meet me... but I promise, there’s a very sweet boy underneath.

I’m about 3 years old, and I ended up at a vet practice after being left behind. From there, I came into rescue, and I won’t lie, I was really scared at first. Everything felt big and unfamiliar, so I found a little hiding spot in my cat flap and stayed there for a few days, just watching the world go by.

But... with time, patience, and some very kind humans, I started to realise that maybe things weren’t so scary after all.

And now? I’m a completely different boy.

Once I trust you, I absolutely love fuss and attention. Gentle strokes, quiet company, cuddles... they’re my favourite things. I just need someone who will give me that little bit of time to come out of my shell, and when I do, I promise I’ll be worth the wait.

Because of my sensitive nature, I’d really like a calm, adult-only home where I can feel safe and settled. I don’t think dogs would be right for me, and I’d probably prefer to be the only pet so I can fully relax and bond with my person.

I’m not the kind of cat who will rush up to greet you straight away at first... but if you’re patient, kind, and understanding, I’ll quietly become your little shadow, your companion, your comfort, your friend.

All I need is a chance.
