Meet Parsnip!

Hello... I’m Parsnip!

I know, it’s a rather charming name... it suits me, I think. Soft, gentle, and a little bit sweet, just like me.

I actually found a home once before, about six years ago. I thought it would be forever... but sadly, due to circumstances beyond my owner’s control, I’ve had to come back. It’s been a little confusing, if I’m honest... but I’m doing my best to be brave and hopeful that my real forever home is still out there waiting for me.

I’m now eight years young, and I like to think I’ve truly mastered the art of being a calm and lovely companion. I’m a quiet girl, not one to demand attention or make a fuss but if you offer me a gentle stroke or a cuddle, I’ll happily lean in and soak it all up.

When I arrived back, I had a very sore ingrown toenail... but the kind humans here made sure I saw a vet, and I’m now on the mend and feeling much more comfortable again.

My perfect home would be a peaceful, indoor one. Somewhere I can curl up in a warm sunbeam, watch the world go by from a safe window, and enjoy soft, quiet moments with my person. I don’t need constant attention, just kindness, warmth, and a little love.

I could live with calm teenage children who understand my gentle nature, but I think I’d prefer to be the only pet in the home. I’ve never met a dog before, and I think I’d rather not start now... and having all the love to myself sounds just perfect.
