Meet Tiegan (with Scout)!
Hello, I'm Tiegan. Myself and my sibling (from different litters) Scout are looking for a home where we can live out the rest of our days. We have had a lot of changes over the last few months where our original owner who bred us sadly passed away, the extended family couldn't keep us and then we got rehomed by the lovely people here at the NAWT. Unfortunately, due to no fault of ours, our new owners can not keep us as they have developed some health issues. We are currently staying with them until a new suitable home is found, and are being well looked after and cared for so we don't mind too much!
I am a lovely older girl, very gentle and very loving once I know you and have got over some initial shyness, and am in fact a little more social than my brother - you can just tell that we have been really cared for over the years.
I had been feeling a bit shell shocked what with all of these major changes that have happened, but I am now starting to feel much more relaxed and my fantastic character is shining through. I will stick to you like glue, give you paw, and will roll over for belly rubs all day long. Everyone adores Scout and I!
I love my food and I also love a real fuss so I wont stray far away from my owner. We walk beautifully on the lead and have great recall skills, so managing my brother and I together would be easy, although we are known to squabble when we get over excited but it's all forgiven in seconds! We do bark a bit when we are in the car or when first let out in the garden or if the door bell goes, but again that's only because we are so excited. Nothing really fazes me and I am great at meeting other dogs. I haven't lived with cats before but that might be a possibility.
I had piled on the pounds but am slowing loosing some weight with a good diet and exercise, and I am a little arthritic now in my shoulder so am on some pain medication to help me. I have the most beautiful coat that will need some care and maintenance, but I have been used to visiting the groomers regularly so don't mind a pamper. We love the outdoors and spend a lot of time in the garden so are really hoping our new home has lots of outdoor space too. We are good as gold to leave in the house and just settle down for another snooze - as we are a bit older now we do tend to spend quite a bit of time sleeping!
Scout and I are really hoping we can find a new home where we can go together, so if a beautiful pair of gentle Collies is something you might consider, please do get in touch xx
