Meet Scout (with Tiegan)!
Hey everyone I'm Scout. Myself and my sibling (from different litters) Tiegan are looking for a home where we can live out the rest of our days. We have had a lot of changes over the last few months where our original owner who bred us sadly passed away, the extended family couldn't keep us and then we got rehomed by the lovely people here at the NAWT. Unfortunately, due to no fault of ours, our new owners can not keep us as they have developed some health issues. We are currently staying with them until a new suitable home is found, and are being well looked after and cared for so we don't mind too much!
I am a lovely older gent, very gentle and very loving once I know you and have got over some initial shyness - you can just tell that we have been really cared for over the years. I am more nervous than my Sister, especially if out in busy environments, and you will see my tail go between my legs. I much prefer a slower pace of life and a more rural location, I am a countryside loving Collie and everyone adores Tiegan and I!
I love my food and I also love a real fuss so I wont stray far away from my owner at all. I walk beautifully on the lead, so managing my sister and I together would be easy, although we are known to squabble when we get over excited but it's all forgiven in seconds! We do bark a bit when we are in the car or when first let out in the garden or if the door bell goes, but again that's only because we are so excited. I haven't lived with cats before but that might be a possibility. Although I would be able to live with Tiegan I'm not keen on sharing my space with any other dogs. I can happily walk past them with no issues on my walks but I wouldn't like strange dogs rushing up to me and getting in my face, I will most probably hide behind your legs if they did that.
I had piled on the pounds but am slowing loosing some weight with a good diet and exercise, and I am a little weak on my back legs so am on some pain medication to help me. I have the most beautiful coat that will need some care and maintenance, but I have been used to visiting the groomers regularly so don't mind a pamper. We love the outdoors and spend a lot of time in the garden so are really hoping our new home has lots of outdoor space too. We are good as gold to leave in the house and just settle down for another snooze - as we are a bit older now we do tend to spend quite a bit of time sleeping!
Tiegan and I are really hoping we can find a new home where we can go together, so if a beautiful pair of gentle Collies is something you might consider, please do get in touch xx
