Meet Moose!

Hello everyone I'm Moose.
I have come into the centre as a stray so I have all 4 paws crossed that it's now my time to find a lovely new forever home.

My history is unknown, but the staff here have come to realise that I might not have been treated in the nicest of ways or had the greatest time in my past life as I can be worried by strangers. So they have been great and have helped me to be muzzle trained so that I can wear this when I'm out on walks in public just to be safe. Once I know you and am comfortable around you I will turn into the biggest sweetie who really enjoys a cuddle and fuss.

I am spotlessly clean in my kennel and settle really well here, so the team here think I will do well in a home environment. I love my food, this is a real positive for you as I will cotton on to things very quickly if I know I will get a treat for being a good boy....I have already learnt paw and sit.

I am currently working on recall, and I will need some further work on my lead walking as I can get a bit pully and strong at times, but I am only young! This really shows in my play - you would think I'm a puppy still. I love to run about with my toys, it's so much fun! So my new owners will need to be up for some fun but also interested in helping me continue my training. Sometimes I can be a bit unsure of new things and I haven't enjoyed my vet appointments that much. Once I have had my fun and exercise I love nothing more than having a good old snooze, and you will find me snoring away a lot of the time.

Talking about the vets, they have discovered that I suffer with allergies, at the moment we aren't sure exactly what causes it but my medication treatment has worked really well, so I will most likely remain on a very low dose of steroid.

I won't be able to live with cats I'm afraid but I may be able to live with another dog depending on who they are and how the meets go here at the centre.

Ideally I would love a new home with owners who have had experience with similar bully breeds or at least larger dogs as I can be a little stubborn at times and like to do things at my own pace and when I feel like it, and ideally a garden as I really do enjoy running about and having a good old play, but that's just me dreaming!!! xx
