Meet Ray!

Ray is a lovely ex-racing greyhound with a very sweet nature who is looking for a home willing to help build his confidence. At the centre, he can sometimes need a little encouragement to get going on walks, but once he’s out and about he really enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those of a similar size.

As an ex-racer, Ray will need time to adjust to life outside of kennels, so he will need an understanding owner who can give him a little extra time, patience, and reassurance whilst he settles into a home environment. He would benefit from calm adopters who can help him learn new routines at his own pace and continue building his confidence with positive encouragement.

Ray is a gentle boy who enjoys calm companionship, but he also values having his own quiet time to relax and unwind. Because of this, he is looking for a home with older, sensible children who can respect when he wants a bit of space.

Due to his high prey drive, Ray cannot live with small dogs, cats, or small furry pets. He is best suited to a home where his environment can be managed safely and where he can enjoy walks and enrichment without close contact with smaller animals.

With the right people, Ray has all the makings of a loyal and affectionate companion.
