Meet Spud!

Hello, my name’s Spud, lovely to meet you!

NAWT rescued me from a pretty tough situation where I wasn’t being cared for properly. They decided to call me Spud because... well, just look at me. I’m the perfect little potato.

Okay, fine, I’m actually quite a big potato. The vets say I need to lose a little weight to help me feel my best. I’m not totally sold on this “diet” idea (seems wildly unfair, if you ask me), but I am enjoying my foster home, gentle walks and rest.
I’m a sociable boy, I love humans, I don't mind other dogs, I get on well with most of them, but I’m not a fan of small dogs, so I’d be happiest in a home without any tiny canine housemates. I can also have a bit of a prey drive, so I’ll need sensible introductions and supervision around other animals.

I do have a medical condition affecting my cruciate ligament, which means my knee can be uncomfortable at times. I’ll need ongoing pain relief and careful monitoring to keep me comfortable and happy. The team can explain everything you’d need to know, I promise I’m still absolutely worth it.

I’m looking for a committed owner who’ll support me with my weight-loss journey, manage my exercise appropriately, and make sure I stay comfy with my leg.
In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate best friend who’s always up for a stroll, a garden snooze, or a cosy cuddle on the sofa.
If you think we’d make the perfect team, apply to meet me today. I’ll be waiting (probably near the treat cupboard).
