Meet Billy!

Hello, I'm Billy and I'm a gorgeous almost 4 year old sweetheart.

I came to the centre after my owner passed away, which was very confusing and sad for me.
I’m starting to really come out of my shell, and once I’m properly settled in a loving home, I’m definitely going to be a cheeky little Jack Russell! Right now, I’m learning that the world isn’t quite as scary as it sometimes feels. I’m lovely on walks, happy in my harness, and I really do enjoy getting out and about.
I can get a bit overwhelmed at times, especially around other dogs. I’m not brave with them, but I’m also not reactive, I’m quite content to do my own thing and keep a bit of space.
Full honesty: when I’m unsure or bored, I might chew things that aren’t meant to be toys. So I’ll need a home that keeps tempting bits tucked away, I promise I’m not naughty, just figuring things out and soothing myself.

I’d like to be the only pet in the home. A garden would be lovely for pottering and sniffing, but I could manage without one if I get my walks.
I’d suit a quieter household, maybe someone retired or someone who works from home and I could live with sensible teenage children who understand that I sometimes need a bit of space.

With patience, routine, and kindness, I know I’ll blossom into the funny, loyal little companion I’m meant to be.
