Meet Simba!
Hi friends! Meet me! My name is Simba and I'm a super handsome pupster on the lookout for my forever home. I'm around 9 months old and I'm a Husky cross so I'm an energetic, enthusiastic youngster who loves adventures. I am looking for an experienced forever friend who has trained and raised youngsters like me before.
In many ways, I am very puppy like and still need help learning things about the world like us all us youngsters. But I also lack a lot of confidence and can find things about the world very worrying. I can be worried of new people and new situations and need an experienced owner who can understand where I'm coming from and reassure me when I'm worried. Sometimes my behaviour might make me come across as a really confident, happy-go-lucky guy but if you look beneath that I am a bit of a scaredy cat and need lots of guidance which in turn will help my confidence.
I do form lovely attachments to my favourite people and often show my silly, happy puppy side. I am an incredibly intelligent young man and can pick up training really quick. This is really great news for you as I do need continued help with my training and progression. Sometimes if I am unsure, frustrated or lack confidence and clarity in something, I can use my mouth to explore and be rather exuberant. But with guidance and your help, I have bundles of potential and should grow into a well balanced young man! I thrive on positive reward based training so my friends here can tell you all about how best to help me.
I am a big fan of adventures and love to get my paws out in the big wide world. I love running and exploring so a human friend who shares my passion for the outdoors would be awesome! I am also a huge fan of playtime- I can find the fun in most things but I really love tug toys and squeakers. I also love getting my teeth into a good chew. Being a Husky cross, I am a smart and intelligent boy so I do need someone who can not just physically stimulate me, but keep my busy brain active too so I'll enjoy lots of mental enrichment.
Living with a confident older dog could help teach me the ropes plus be a great future playmate, however, I'll be best suited to older female dogs. My new dog companion would need to have no hang ups of their own and be robust enough to put up with my playful antics! If I don't live with another dog, I'll need to live with someone who can give me plenty of stimulation and focus. I won't be looking to share my home with any children. I have lived with a feline friend before so that could be a discussion. I haven't had much experience being left home alone so I'll need to help being able to be happy being left alone. If you think I could be your future best buddy, then I can't wait to hear from you!
