Meet Portobello!

Hi, I'm Portobello,
I didn’t exactly plan on house-hunting this way. One day I found myself left at a vet’s practice, and after a bit of confusion (and bravery on my part), I made my way to the rescue centre. From there, I landed somewhere much nicer, a foster home, where I’m learning that sofas are for sitting on and TVs are for watching!

I’m a gorgeous, fluffy boy, though I might not show it straight away. I’m quite shy at first and like to take my time getting to know people. Once I’ve settled and decided you’re safe (I’m very thoughtful like that), I slowly come out of my shell, and when I do, you’ll see what a sweetheart I really am.

I enjoy life on my terms. I love a good meal (I have an excellent appetite), and I adore playtime when I’m in the mood. When the day winds down, one of my favourite things is curling up on the sofa with my foster humans, quietly watching TV together. No pressure, just companionship, perfect.

I’d be happiest as the only cat in the home so I can have all the love and space to myself. I’m not built for chaos, so a calm, quiet home would suit me best. Dogs and noisy young children would be far too scary for me, but I could happily share my home with gentle teenagers who understand that good friendships take time.
