Meet Frank!

Hello everyone! My name is Frank, I'm a 5 year old French Bulldog and I am very pleased to meet you!

I came into the centre through no fault of my own and I have come from a very loving home with people who loved me very much and I am now on the lookout for a family to love me just as much as they did. One thing you must know about me is that I love human company, I love to follow my favourite people around love fuss and attention. I'm a nosey little fella who loves to look out the window and check out the latest gossip of the neighbourhood and I like to see what everyone is up to. My previous owners told my new friends here how much I loved the garden I used to have and loved to spend time out there so it would be great if I could have a garden to enjoy in my new home.

I love my walks and enjoy to explore all of the new sights and smells, but I can be quite strong once I get going so I'd benefit from my new owners continuing my lose lead walking training! I would prefer to be walked in quieter areas though as I'm not the biggest fan of other dogs, especially when they come too close to me and I have been seen to react before so I much prefer having my own space. For this reason, I would also like to be the only dog in the home as I wouldn't like sharing my space with another dog either and whilst we are on the topic of my rehoming requirements, I also wouldn't be suitable to live with a cat as I get way too tempted to chase them.

I love my food and enjoy taking treats which has been great for my training, however I can be quite protective of my food bowl if you try to approach me whilst I am eating so I will need my new owners to be on board with giving me my own space to eat peacefully! As I can be guardy of my food bowl, I would be best suited to a home with older children who will be old enough to know to respect my space. Another thing you should know is that whilst I love to play, I can become quite obsessive over tennis balls so the team here have been working on teaching me how to swap my toy for something just as good so I don't feel I have to obsess over it or protect it and my new owners will need to be on board with this too :)

I have been prone to seasonal allergies in the past (particularly in the summer months) and this has been treated with medication so my new owners will need to be aware of this in case I flare up in the summer and require treatment at the vets.

Anyways, enough about me! If you think you could offer me a loving home, please register your interest and my friends would be delighted to discuss me further. Lots of love, Frank x
