Meet Max!

Hi friends!! It’s Max here...let me tell you all about me! I’m a rather handsome 4 year old boy on the lookout for my fun, forever home.

Not much is known about my past life and experiences so the team here have been getting to know me and my ways. I arrived not looking or feeling my best, but things are on the up and I’m hopeful for an owner to give me lots of TLC. I’m a friendly boy and enjoy greeting my friends...I like a good conversation when I first see you because I’m a very excited boy and I can't wait to find out what we're going to do together! Then I like to have a good stretch of my legs around the paddocks, finding all the good sniff and pee spots!

I have started to really enjoy playtime and having a good run around. I can also be a chilled out boy indoors, choosing often to settle on my bed or a cosy spot on the sofa. When it comes to the big wide world, I'm more of a countryside boy than a round-the-block kinda guy and I’d love an experienced owner who can enjoy my walks with me and help them be a fulfilling time out. I love sniffing, exploring and watching the world go by so I love your proper dog walks...so if you're the kind of person who likes to don a pair of wellies and find a new piece of the Great British Countryside to explore then we could be a fab match!

Whilst I'm a fabulous crossbreed, it seems likely I may have some Collie and Lurcher in me so I am an active, intelligent boy who loves to get his paws out and about but can equally appreciate a good nap afterwards. I've been working really hard on my training and forming bonds with my favourite people and in the short time I've been here I've already made so much progress! My human friends here will be happy to tell you all about that and how to continue my training.

I am an avid watcher of wildlife so I love watching and sniffing where all those squirrels and rabbits have gone! I therefore won’t be looking to share my home with any small animals or cats. I do have a friend here in Arthur the Whippet cross- we do get on well and we like to have a play together but we’re looking for homes of our own. I possibly could live with another dog but it would depend on how we got along here at the Centre and I may need a little time to make a new friend as I might be unsure. I won’t be looking to share my home with any young children so older teenagers only would suit me best. If you think I could be the boy for you, then I can’t wait to hear from you!
