Meet Arthur!

Hi everyone! My name is Arthur and I’m on the lookout for my very special forever person. I’m a Whippet cross...so size wise I’m bigger than a Whippet but not as big as a Lurcher!

Life may not have always been easy for me and when I arrived here I was finding life all just a little bit stressful! As I settled in I started to show everyone here my very soft, sweet nature. I've been lucky to land my paws in a foster home whilst I'm waiting so very patiently for my forever family to come along and sweep me off my paws. I've proven that I am loving and affectionate with my cuddles and I can be a real love bug when I've got that strong bond with my favourite people. I love finding that cosy spot on the sofa and settling down for a cuddle with you.

I'm a big fan of playtime and I definitely have my favourite toys...my all time favourite is my squeaky pig! Although the squeak doesn't last all too long which is a bit sad! When it comes to the big wide world, I'm really not very brave at all and definitely not as brave as I sometimes might try and put across that I am. When I first arrived, I found seeing and hearing other dogs really scary but would try to act brave about it through barking. As I've developed stronger connections with my people, I'm learning that I can put my trust in them to help me when I'm worried, rather than feeling like I've got to take on the world by myself. This is really helping with my training, and whilst it's a work in progress, I'm working really hard on my reaction around dogs. Walks for me will be best in quieter places like the lovely countryside where there's things for me to sniff and investigate and put my worries aside. I'll also be needing my very own garden so I have my own outside space I can relax in.

I'm really looking for a very best friend who I can put my trust into and this then will help me feel a much more confident boy. But also a best pal who's up for lots of playtime and snuggles! I'm not looking to share my home with any other pets or young children but if you think we could be the perfect match, then I can't wait to hear from you!.
