Meet Simba!
Hi friends! Meet me! I'm Simba and I'm a super handsome pupster on the lookout for my forever home. I'm just a baby at around 6 months old and I'm a Husky cross. I'll be looking for an experienced forever friend who has trained and raised youngsters like me before!
I am a typical puppy in so many ways and will need all of my puppy basic training. Things like learning that hands are for cuddles and not for playtime, learning what I can get my teeth into and learning to be a happy, confident boy. I am also not like lots of puppies as I don't have that carefree, happy-go-lucky puppy attitude. I am quite a worried boy and I am scared of new people, animals and situations. There will be lots of firsts that I'll come across which I might find scary. When I'm shown lots of kindness and patience, I form lovely attachments to my favourite people and then I am a silly, happy boy. So it's through their reassurance that I then feel braver to take on new things....plus the help of tasty treats for doing a great job helps my confidence and learning!
So you'll see that I need lots of commitment to guiding these growing paws and continuation of my positive reward based training. Talking of growing paws, as a Husky cross I've still got some growing to do! If you've had breeds like me before that would be ace! Raising me will be a really rewarding adventure...I might not be ready and raring to take on the whole world just yet but I'm sure you'll see my confidence blossom and me grow as a little individual.
Living with a confident older dog could help teach me the ropes plus be a great future playmate, but I might be a bit worried of them to start with so another doggy who is kind and patient would be the best. I won't be looking to share my home with young children so I'll be better suited to homes where any children are much older teenagers. And, as for our feline friends, they may be ok but again I will probably find them a bit scary first! Like most of us pups, I'll need help learning to be happy being left alone. If you think I could be your future best buddy, then I can't wait to hear from you!
