Meet Chickpea!

Hello everyone, I'm Chickpea, pleased to meet you!
I am a little character on the look out for a new home. I am very much loved by my current family, but life is very busy at home and it just doesn't seem to suit me very well. I think I would much prefer a quieter calmer home where I get all of the attention.
I am a bit of an anxious girl, so will probably be quite nervous when you first meet me but once I trust you I am very sweet and loving, I am a bit like velcro....wanting to be as close to you as possible and my favourite spot to sleep is right there on your chest!
I am a typical terrier so very quick, foody, and I have a super high prey drive so will chase a cat as soon as I see it!
I do pull on my lead a bit so this could do with some work, and I am able to be off lead as long as there no cats in sight!
I love to travel in the car so will enjoy going on all sorts of adventures and will make someone a lovely companion. I sleep in my crate at bedtime with no issues but I can be a bit barky if I'm left alone for long periods or if there is lots happening outside my window.
I have lived with multiple children and other dogs but my current owner feels like I would suit being with an older family and where I'm the only dog.
I am a bit prone to itchy skin so hopefully my new owner will be able to help me with that and give me lots of reassuamnmce and love as moving to a new home is going to be a bit scary for me.

Chickpea is on our Home Direct Scheme where she remains with her current owners until a suitable match can be found. All meets will be done here at the centre.
