NAWT Essex

Our Clacton site was originally set up by Ann and Reg Sims in 1984 as Clacton Animal Aid. It was entrusted to the National Animal Welfare Trust in October 2011 following the Sims retirement after 25 dedicated years of service. Based in Little Clacton, we are a rescue and rehoming centre, where we put dogs and cats into new loving homes.

Sadly, we are currently at full capacity for intakes. Please check back here for updates.

If you would like to donate items to help care for our animals, we have donation bins outside our reception areas. However, we advise to contact us in advance, to check if we are currently accepting your item(s).

Anything you are able to donate financially, is much appreciated, and will help us continue to care for the homeless pets that come through our doors. Thank you.
