The Autumn/Winter Edition of Animate Magazine is Here!

As the leaves fall and the evenings grow darker, we’re delighted to bring you the Autumn/Winter edition of Animate, the official magazine of the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT).

At NAWT, we’re one of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities, caring for and rehoming thousands of animals every year across our centres. From dogs and cats to rabbits and guinea pigs, our mission is to ensure every animal receives the care, compassion, and second chance they deserve.

Twice a year, we produce Animate a magazine packed full of real-life rescue stories, behind-the-scenes insights, fundraising inspiration, and charity news, all to celebrate the lives we change together with our wonderful supporters.

Our latest Autumn/Winter 2025 edition is now available to read online, and it’s one you won’t want to miss!

Inside this issue, you’ll find:

  • - A sneak preview of our exciting new Double Donations campaign, launching this December. This initiative will give our supporters a chance to make their donations go twice as far helping us reach even more animals in need during the coldest months of the year.
  • - Heartwarming Happy Tails stories, celebrating the animals who have found their forever homes thanks to your support. These uplifting stories are a true reminder of why we do what we do.
  • - Staff spotlights, shining a light on some of our dedicated team members including those who have been with NAWT for an incredible 20 years of service. Their hard work and compassion continue to make an enormous difference every single day.
  • - Fundraising heroes, whose creativity and determination inspire us all. From bake sales to marathons, their efforts help keep our centres running and our animals cared for.
  • - A closer look at our current kitten crisis, exploring the rising number of kittens being brought into our care and how our teams are working tirelessly to give them the best start in life. You’ll also get to meet a few of the adorable faces we’ve been helping recently!

We’ve loved putting this issue together and hope you enjoy reading it just as much. Each story reflects the heart of our work. The animals we help, the people who support us, and the community that keeps us going.
