Bedford Charity Shop Grand Opening Celebrated by Local Community
On Saturday we were delighted to celebrate the grand opening of our Bedford charity shop, and what a wonderful day it was. With the sun shining and so many friendly faces dropping by to support us, it made for a truly special occasion.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to help us mark the day. It was fantastic to see the local Bedford community come together and give the shop such a warm welcome.
Official Ribbon Cutting for Bedford Shop
A highlight of the day was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, where Marianthi, our Chair of Trustees, joined Steve, a valued and long-standing volunteer from our Bedfordshire rehoming centre, to officially declare the shop open. It was a lovely moment that recognised both the leadership and the dedicated volunteers who support our work.
We were also pleased to welcome several trustees and staff from our Bedfordshire rehoming centre, who joined us to celebrate the reopening and meet members of the community.
Previous resident dog, Alma, also made a special appearance standing alongside Steve as the ribbon was cut.
Support from Bedford College Students
A special thank you must go to the fantastic students from Bedford College, who worked incredibly hard throughout the day. From welcoming visitors to serving customers, their enthusiasm and support helped make the day run smoothly and contributed to the positive atmosphere in the shop. They have also done a lot of work in the lead up to the big day, helping with getting the shop ready, and even creating content for our social media channels to help publicise the event.
Supporting Animals Through the Bedford Charity Shop
We’re extremely grateful for the warm welcome Bedford has given us so far. If you haven’t had the chance to visit yet, we would love to see you.
Every time you shop in our Bedford charity shop or donate items, you are helping raise vital funds to support animals in need.
