NAWT welcomes volunteer applicants who bring a varied range of skills and abilities to the Trust. We aim to create a positive environment that enables all volunteers to realise their full potential.
If yes please let us know what reasonable steps you think NAWT needs to take to enable you to volunteer in your preferred role.
Declaring Criminal Convictions
Information about criminal convictions is requested to assist the selection process and will be taken into account only when the conviction is considered relevant to the role. Having a conviction will not necessarily stop you from volunteering, but will need to be taken into consideration when assessing your suitability.
Due to the nature of some of our Volunteer Roles, for example working with animals/handling cash, we request that you supply details of two people we can contact for a reference. If possible, one of these should be a professional referee such as a current or previous employer.
What attracts you to volunteering at NAWT? What would you like to gain from the experience?
List the skills, knowledge and experience that you feel you will bring to a voluntary role at NAWT (i.e. hobbies, interests, paid/voluntary work experience or any skills, qualifications or training courses that may be relevant to a role with us).
Please note, we are unable to accept volunteers under 16 years of age.
Before commencing any volunteering work with the Trust you will be required to sign the Volunteer Policy. It is not intended that a Volunteer should have the status of employee or worker in relation to the volunteering activities undertaken or that they should derive a personal benefit from undertaking such activities.
We’d love to stay in touch to update you on the work of the charity. This may include our magazine Animate, fundraising appeals, other ways to support us, volunteering opportunities, as well as products to buy. However, we don’t want to bother you unnecessarily so please tell us how you would like to hear from us.
You can change your mind at any time, just give us a call 0208 950 0177 (option 1) during office hours, email firstname.lastname@example.org or write to Supporter Care, NAWT, Tylers Way, Watford by pass, Watford, WD25 8WT.
