Come and meet some of our newest residents at our NAWT centres.
Charlie is a lovely sweet boy at our HULA centre in Bedfordshire. Charlie would love a peaceful home where he can relax and grow his confidence.
Tom was suffering from a horrific ear infection, that had been left untreated for far too long. So long that the vet struggled to get drops into his ear, because his outer ear and ear canal were so terribly swollen.
As a stray, we can only estimate Poppy’s age and believe her to be around 5 years old. During her first few weeks at NAWT, Poppy would often hide away at the back of her pen when people approached, very withdrawn and scared.
If you are subscribed to receive emails from NAWT, a digital PDF copy of the magazine will be arriving in your inbox this week. Just click on the link within the email, which allows you to view, download, or print Animate.
First up was James, who started working for the charity in August this year as Marketing Assistant. He does the local Abbots Langley Tough Ten every year, where runners have to overcome steep hills as part of the 10k distance.
Get your kitty used to the noise
You can get firework noises on CD, which can help your pet become acclimatised to the sound of fireworks. Putting on a CD before the noises start can help mask any unexpected bangs on November 5th. You can also find popular firework displays on YouTube (such as New Year celebrations) which can be used to help household pets get used to the noise and celebrations.
