Border Collie Sky was rehomed from our Hertfordshire centre during June 2014 to start a new life in Devon. He is thriving in his new home with plenty of Collie companions.
“First I must apologise for the long gap since we picked up Sky on 14th June 2014. Within 24 hours of bringing him home he had made friends with Joey the Collie next door. Within a week he met the Collies on a neighbouring farm- they and the Joey go on a walk down to the valley below us to swim and play in the River Mole. Sky loves this and tries to divert any walk this way. Another stream on a neighbour’s woodland makes for equal fun. His own land is fun though he needs to learn what to do with free range chickens- there are no problems Sky just thinks they are a bore!
Sky is learning to cope with the odd farm vehicles that appear on the lanes and is learning to ‘come’ and ‘sit’ but can still be eratic and deals with them in typical collie fashion."
"More time has passed now (6th January 2015). Sky is a lovely boy and is putting aside his problems. He loves his home and copes with problems well. Physically he is strong in muscle and weight- he was 23.4 Kg when he arrived here and he now weighs 24.3Kg.
He makes as good a guard as his predecessor did and has many human friends.
Thank you for allowing us to home him He enjoys his Collie life as we enjoy him”.
