Peggy the Pug was rehomed from our Clacton rehoming centre in September 2014 and now shares a home with owner Laura and Alan the cat!
"It took Peggy a week or two to settle in and build trust, at first she was very wary of becoming close and didn't really give affection. Both she and my cat, Alan, took a little while to get used to each other, but they have bonded well and will sleep on the sofa together now and are quite happy in each others company.
Peggy is quite a character and very nosy! She likes nothing more than sitting at the window and barking at everyone and everything that goes by. She comes to work with me every day and is well behaved in the office and will befriend anyone who has food! She also likes to chase the postman every morning!
Peggy has spondylosis and has daily medication. Regular exercise has really helped strengthen the muscles in her back legs and she has much more control when walking now. Peggy loves bed time, she loves her sleep and snores like a dinosaur! She likes to snuggle up... and takes up most of the bed! Peggy will be 10 years old this year, she has come on so much since I first adopted her; she's so affectionate now and loves cuddles and sitting on my lap. She's my little princess."
