We had the pleasure of hearing from the new owners of former greyhound resident Ivy recently, who they adopted from the Hertfordshire centre. They gave us this wonderful update on life with their new doggy:
"We got Ivy from you when she was very young, at around six weeks. She was under weight, scared, and needed love and attention, which she never got from her previous owner.
From the story you guys got about her background, she was sold on gumtree, but the person that bought her thought she was a different breed, so they relinquished her to NAWT.
It took a while to get her weight back to stability, because she was fed cat milk by the previous owner.
But as soon as we took her home, she settled in straight away. Her personality was coming out, and she riled our home from day one.
She’s now coming up to six months, she’s grown so much since the first day we laid our eyes on her.
Me and my wife fell in love with her from the moment we saw her.
We are forever grateful to Jackie, who is the manager at your Watford centre who made our rehoming for ivy a blessing. She is the love of our lives".
