Two year-old Ron was handed over to the National Animal Welfare Trust after the owner could no longer afford to look after him.
In times of recession rescue centres like ours see an increase in pets being handed in due to financial pressures. Sometimes people are forced to hand over their pets when they move house, especially if they are having to move into rented accommodation as many landlords refuse to take in pets.
Ron is a sociable creature so it didn’t take long for him to be made available for rehoming once all his medical checks were completed.
He is now home to a photographer and her family and is a great attraction to all the visiting children. His friendly squeaks welcome the youngsters when they come in to have their portraits taken at the studio.
