Hey everyone, my name is Wally and I’m a handsome, skewbald Dartmoor gelding. I’m 12hh and I was born in 1991 so I’m looking for a relaxed retirement home.
I had been living at the Somerset centre since I was a yearling, so didn't know much else outside of the centre. When the staff told me I was moving I was a little scared but very excited. A new experience and a new chance to meet new ponies….Yipppee. Having been living at the Somerset centre for so long I’m a well handled, polite older gent.
When I came into NAWT’S care I arrived with another pony who is sadly no longer with us but I have made great bonds with all my equine companions of one of which is Kamero. Kamero joined me in my journey to Trindledown. It was great to have someone to share the journey with. To everyone's amazement I hopped on-board the lorry and my legs balanced I travelled like a dream.
The staff tell me I am an absolute delight to deal with, I am good to catch, well behaved for the vet, farrier and the dentist.
I have taught many new staff members how to look after ponies over the years, I enjoy being groomed, having treats and being pampered in general.
I am seeking a non-ridden companion home where I have access to a stable in the winter months.
I’ve shared my field space with other horses as well as sheep and goats.
