Hi there, our names are Tango & Dougal. We are two Miniature Shetlands hoping to find a new home together.
I (Dougal) am the older of the two which should mean I am the boss but sadly I am not.
Tango certainly rules the roost or so he likes to think, I am more interested in eating! It’s my most favourite thing to do. The staff keep telling me I need to watch my weight, I keep telling them it’s just my winter woollies.
Tango certainly has that cheeky Shetland character, he certainly knows how to make people laugh.
Both of us enjoy being groomed and have been used for pony grooming days here at the centre. Dougal will stand all day long for fuss whereas Tango gets bored and wants to be back out munching.
We have always lived out with the use of a field shelter, stabling hasn't been something we have needed or even enjoy.
We are seeking a new home with someone who has kept ponies before. Our grass intake would need to be carefully monitored all year round as like all ponies we could be prone to laminitis. We are good for the farrier, vet and dentist and are up to date with vaccinations.
If you are interested in giving two cheeky chaps a new home together then please do give the centre a call
