Angel & Pippin

About me

Hello, my name is Angel and I am here at the centre with my sister Pippin. We are 3 & 1/2 year old Chihuahuas. I am the larger of the two of us and this shows with my personality, I take advantage of being bigger and I do enjoy picking on Pippin sometimes if she is getting more attention than me! But all sisters bicker and fight for the spotlight, right?

We must admit, we are very nervous meeting new people, it has taken the staff here a while to gain our trust and our new potential adopter would need to be aware of this. It may take us a good few visits to build a bond with you, but once we have, we completely fall in love with you (as you will us!). Pippin is much more trusting than I am, she will jump up for cuddles after a few bits of chicken—with me on the other hand, you’re going to need more than a juicy bit of chicken!!

It is fair to say we had a fairly sheltered life before coming to the centre, we are learning what ‘walkies’ are (how cool are walkies! WOW!), this reflects with our more scattered approach on lead! The big wide world is amazing to us, scary, but amazing! We love exploring on our walks and we are just starting to figure out what toys are, they are pretty amazing too!

We used to live with another Chihuahua and we got along fine so we think we could live with another dog again provided we met at the centre first and got along. We have never lived with felines but when we have seen them we don’t seem fussed at all so could potentially live with them. We have never lived with children but we wouldn’t rule it out as long as they were kind to us and left us alone when we need our space.

We are a unique pair (just look at Pippin’s face, hehe!) looking for a forever home filled with love, patience and once we have fallen in love with you, lots and LOTS of attention!! Could our forever home be yours?
