Hello everyone, my name is Matilda and I am a 2-year-old Foxhound cross that is looking for a new home.
I am a very friendly and bouncy girl, that loves being around people. I really enjoy playing with my toys and I do enjoy my food! I am a typical hound that loves to use my nose, so I could really benefit from doing some scentwork in my new home to get my nose working!
I have met some dogs whilst I have been here, and I do really enjoy being around other dogs. I am very interested in them and would love it if my new home had a similarly sized, sociable dog. If it didn’t then it would be great to have some dog friends to go on walks with! I could live with a cat if they are used to being around dogs, as I haven’t shown much interest in them.
I really like children when they are calm around me, if they are too excited then I can find it a bit worrying. I could live with children in my new home as long as they could be calm around me and give me my space if I need it.
I am not used to being left, so I will need help gradually learning how to cope with that. I need some further reward-based training on things such as loose lead walking, polite greetings, keeping four paws on the floor and being left on my own.
Paws crossed that there is a perfect family out there for me!
