Hello there, my name is Hazel and I’m a pretty 4 year old greyhound looking for a lovely home to call my own. Being an ex-racing greyhound, I’ve probably not had the easiest start. Like my other ex-racers, I’ve never been in a home and would really love to be in a home with people who will look after me and give me all the treats.
I’m a very nervous girl and find everything quite overwhelming here at the centre. I’m very gradually starting to come around but it’s all so scary and I would really like to find a home with someone who will take their time getting to know me and showing me all the love, I deserve.
I do quite enjoy going on long walks with the other greyhounds on site and have made quite a few new canine friends since being here. I’m sure making even more would only help me grow in confidence. I’m not too sure about toys though, I don’t really get what all the fuss is about. Could you show me how much fun they can be?
I would love to live with adults only or even children of a school age, as long as they have been around large breeds before and would give me lots of space to settle and feel at home. I could even live with another dog of a similar size, but only if we got on well here at the centre.
