Hi, I’m Wilson, a 6-year-old Patterdale Terrier looking for a new home.
I’m a very friendly and clever boy, I love attention from people whether it’s sitting next to you on the sofa for a cuddle, getting strokes or being groomed – I even love a bath! My favourite thing to do is play, being a typical terrier, I love to explore and chase things, I’ve even been known to chase the hoover – it’s my way of helping with housework! As you can probably tell from my pictures, I’m quite adventurous and I particularly like to play fetch with my ball.
I’m looking for a home where I will be the only pet as when I have lived with other dogs in the past, I have not got on with them and I tend to chase cats and small animals. I can be reactive towards other dogs, and I find them very distracting when I come across them on a walk, so I will need an owner who is understanding of this and is willing to work with me to make sure I can avoid these stressful situations.
I’m a confident dog, loud noises and traffic do not phase me much and I already have some training which I would love to build on with my new owner. I am used to being left in the house for a couple of hours, but it is important that I am left with things to entertain myself with as I’m a very intelligent dog and I can get bored easily.
You might notice my pictures look a bit different to the other dogs on the website, that’s because I am being rehomed through the home direct scheme which means I am not living at the centre, so if you are interested in adopting me, please contact reception to find out more information.
