About me

Hi, my name is Boss, I’m a sweet, cuddly 4 year old Irish Wolfhound cross who came into the centre after I had a fight with another dog in my previous home.

I’m a big cuddle machine of a girl, who loves getting lots of fuss, and wastes no time in rolling over for tummy rubs. I must confess, despite being a little over 40kg, I am at least a little convinced that I am a tiny lap dog, and can be frequently found sprawled across the staff and volunteers who have come to visit me on my sofa.

I’m pretty relaxed about most things when I’m out and about on a walk. I walk nicely on the lead and mostly enjoy plodding about and giving everything in sight a good sniff. As the weather warms up, I find myself in need of regular brushing, which is great, because I love being brushed.

I’ve not lived with children before, but given how friendly I am, it shouldn’t be a problem for me to live with older, dog savvy children. I don’t mind seeing other animals when I’m out for a walk, but I can be a bit territorial, particularly with other dogs, so I’ll be looking to be the only dog in the household. I have lived with a cat previously but it was only for a short period of time, judging by my very little experience, I could potentially live with a cat again.

I’m a big, soppy cuddle monster in need of a loving forever home and a new human to give me tummy rubs, could that human be you?
