About me

Hello there! My name is Kobe, I am a 2 year old French Bulldog x Pug, hence my extra-squishy face!! I have been at the rescue centre for quite some time, the staff have been working very hard on helping me cope with some of my behavioural issues. I would like to be honest and tell you from the get-go that I am a complex boy and I am going to need a very special type of person to take me under their wing and help me become the best version of myself. If you aren’t up for a project, I am not the one for you so feel free to carry on with your day!

I find life in general quite scary but what scares me the most is people. They. Are. HUGE compared to lil ole me! If in doubt (which I often am!) I will jump straight on the defensive. I bark and I lunge but this is only because you scare me and I don’t know what else to do to make you go away. The staff here are slowly teaching me that this is not the way forward and not all humans are bad, in fact, most humans are ok! I have been told I am super easy to train because I love treats!! I will do anything you want me to do for a lil snacky snack! Once you have gained my trust (usually through the means of chicken!) I am such a lovely boy, I am sweet, gentle, and affectionate. Besides my quirks, I am a typical young pooch, I love to play, roll around in the grass like a loon and want cuddles.

I picture my forever home to consist of me, one or two adults that don’t live super busy lifestyles and potentially another dog as I have lived with other pooches and got along fine. I can’t see myself living with children or cats, quite frankly I’d like to have one human all to myself so I don’t have to share their attention with anybody else, but I must be realistic here, I am willing to make compromises if you are!

I will need my new owner to be very patient and understanding. One important thing I would like my new hooman(s) to know is that you won’t be alone on your journey with me. The staff won’t let me go to just any home and the special person/people who take me on for good will always have the support from the staff here for any advice or issues that may need tackling along the way. Although I may not conduct myself in the right way, I promise at heart I am a lovable, intelligent, soppy boy who wants nothing more than to find my forever home. Could my forever home be with you?
